Best winter face masks

Winter weather is detrimental to our skin if we don't take proper precaution.  We need to moisturize as much as we can, hydrating the skin is vital to prevent dryness and peeling.

Sticking to a skin care routine is also paramount. One skin care regimen does not fit all, so you need to know what your skin type is and treat your skin care accordingly. I have a blog here about that.

Face masks are great, but a lot of us ladies tend to skip that part of our facial regimen. I do a face mask at least once a week. They leave your face moisturised, glowing and it's also an excellent way to have your own little relaxing spa time; and don't we all need that.

Here are three face masks that will undoubtedly leave your face glowing, toned and moisturised.


AVOCADO AND OLIVE OIL De-seed a ripe avocado. Scoop up the flesh and put in a bowl and mash with a fork until it's smooth in texture. Add 1tbsp of olive oil to avocado paste and mix. Apply mask on face and leave on your face for 10-15min then rinse off.
Avocado is rich in Vitamin E, which is great for the skin.

STRAWBERRY + YOGURT + HONEY Mash up a handful of strawberries, add 1tbsp of honey and 1tbsp of plain natural yogurt mix all together in a blender until it turns into a paste. Apply and leave on your face for 20min then rinse it off and apply your favorite moisturizer.
Strawberries contain Salicylic Acid, which is great for oily/acne prone skin.

ROSEWATER AND HONEY Mix the same amount of rosewater and honey 1tbsp each. Leave on your face for 10min and then rinse off. Honey will even out your skin tone while the rosewater will shrink your pores and leave your skin toned.

As you can see, these face masks are easy to make, and you can make them with ingredients that can found in your pantry.
